Dothan PD K9 Unit 26th Annual Seminar

The Dothan Police Department will be hosting its 26th annual canine seminar, February 7 – February 11, 2022.   The cost for this year’s seminar will be $150.00 per canine team.  The seminar is intended for intermediate to advanced canine teams.  The areas of training that will be covered are drug detection, explosives detection, patrol tactics and tracking.  The instructors for this year’s seminar are all veteran canine handlers with multiple years of experience training and working police dogs.

This year we will be offering a K9 certification through National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (NNDDA).  The cost for the certification is $55.00 for dual purpose dog teams and $55.00 for single purpose dog teams.  The cost includes membership fees to join NNDDA.  Please ensure you bring a separate check made out to NNDDA for the certification.

This year’s host hotel is the Holiday Inn Express 4090 Ross Clark Circle Dothan, Alabama 36303, (334)699-6868, point of contact is Faye Wallin.  The room rate is $89.00.  The Holiday Inn Express is aware of early registration, so ensure you tell them you are coming to the K9 seminar.

Please contact us to register prior to January 21, 2022.  Please make your seminar fee check out to Dothan Police Department and the certification fee check out to NNDDA. The fee for the seminar and certification can be paid on the morning of February 7, 2022.
