On Wednesday July 1, 2026, Members of the Hartford Police Street Crimes Unit conducted Motor Vehicle Stop. As officers approached the vehicle, the operator could be observed frantically reaching towards the floorboard of the vehicle. Based upon the officers observations an on-scene investigation, the occupants were ordered out from the vehicle and placed in an investigative detention. NNDDA certified narcotics K9, Axel, conducted an open-air narcotics sniff to the vehicle and provided a positive alert for the odor of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle, a firearm was located along the drivers side floor board. During a search incidental to arrest of the occupants, narcotics were located, and a second firearm.
