Law Enforcement Canine Alliance

Law Enforcement Canine Alliance

Recently the NNDDA met with USPCA, NAPWDA, IPCA and NPCA. We agreed, for the betterment of the canine community, to form an alliance. The Law Enforcement Canine Alliance was established for the purpose of uniting professional law enforcement canine associations in a shared commitment to advancing the knowledge, proficiency, integrity, and effectiveness of law enforcement canine teams. Through cooperation, continuing education, practical training, credible certification, and the exchange of research and operational experience, the Alliance promotes high professional standards and the lawful, ethical, and responsible deployment of police service dogs.

Respecting the identity, independence, and expertise of each member association, the Alliance provides a collective voice on matters of common concern, support canine teams and their agencies, and strengthens public understanding and confidence in law enforcement canine programs. Together, we work to protect communities, enhance officer and canine safety, and advance excellence across the disciplines our members serve.

To better disseminate information, we will be developing a facebook page for certifying officials to push critical updates out. This will help keep the board and our lifeline in sync.

I want to thank Rey Munoz, El Paso County SO for the development of this group’s logo.
